نقش مهندسی بافت عصبی درترمیم ضایعات عصبی

مقدمه: مهندسی بافت علم طراحی بافت برای بهبود و ترمیم ضایعات بافتی است. اعصاب محیطی به‌ طور معمول در معرض آسیب‌ فیزیکی هستند. آسیب‌های اعصاب محیطی می‌تواند در اثر حوادث ساختمانی و حمل و نقل، بلایای طبیعی، آسیب‌های ناشی از جنگ و عوارض ناشی از عمل جراحی ایجاد شوند. ترمیم خود به خودی عصب محیطی با بهبود عملکردی ضعیف معمولاً ناقص است. از این‌رو، محققان مهندسی بافت عصبی داربست‌هایی را ابداع کرده‌اند که با توجه به نوع کنفورماسیون و مواد تشکیل‌دهنده‌شان می‌توانند به ‌ترمیم بافت عصبی کمک کنند. اگر شکافت عصبی به اندازه کوچک‌تر از یک سانتی‌متر طول در سیستم عصبی محیطی ایجاد شود، می‌توان دو انتهای شکاف را با عمل جراحی به یکدیگر پیوند زد، برای شکاف‌های بزرگتر اتوگرافت عصبی استاندارد طلایی می‌باشد. استفاده از اتوگرافت به دلیل کمبود عصب‌‌دهنده و ضرورت انجام چندین عمل دارای محدودیت‌هایی می‌باشد. سیستم عصبی مرکزی چالش برانگیزتر است؛ چون پس از آسیب، محیط مهارکننده‌ ترمیم عصبی به وجود می‌آید. بنابراین طراحی داربست‌های مختلف برای تسهیل ترمیم و بازسازی بافت عصبی می‌تواند یک روش امیدوارکننده برای رفع این مشکلات باشد. نتیجه‌گیری: مهندسی بافت سیستم عصبی با استفاده از داربست‌های عصبی یکی از رویکردهای درمانی به‌منظور جایگزینی بافت عصبی آسیب‌دیده است. بدین منظور این مقاله به بررسی ویژگی‌های داربست‌های ایده‌آل و مواد زیستی مورد استفاده در ساخت داربست‌ها، همچنین سلول‌ها و فاکتورهای رشد مناسب به‌منظور درمان ضایعات عصبی می‌پردازد.
